“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.
(Matthew 13:45-46)

Sole and Soul Wealth

What I offer to God and God offers to me.
God’s sole worth is his son Jesus.
This is the treasure the good God offers to me.
Sole and soul wealth of the pearl gift of his only begotten son Jesus.

Like a trading post, God makes a magnificent trade.
We small, corruptible humans traded for the rich incorruptible life in the Kingdom.
What a trade! Rich incorruptibility and lasting eternity with the Triune God-head!

Seek then the pearl of great grace and great price.
Sell all to possess it.
Be the merchant God longs you to be.
Sole and soul worth.
Never trade it for false riches.

For Reflection and Sharing:

  1. What does the pearl symbolize for you?
  2. How does one hide such a treasure?
  3. What would you need to sell to purchase such a gift?
  4. Who in your life helps you discover your treasure?
  5. When are you spiritually able to buy the pearl of great price?
  6. Who can you help this week to find their treasure?
  7. What advice would you give to a treasure hunter?

Thank you , Sister Juliemarie for this inspiring Prayer Poem.
When we place Jesus and His Eternal Words first in our life, we find riches
and happiness beyond measure. God bless us as we journey to His
Kingdom.
